This protects the motor. If a larger amount of food or liquid got into the mixer body, you can open it and clean it yourself.</p><h2 id="why-it-happens">Why it happens</h2><ul><li>Food or liquid was spilled by accident.</li><li>The jar was filled above 70%.</li><li>The blades head is leaking.</li></ul><h2 id="1-unplug-remix">1. Unplug re:Mix</h2><p>Pull the plug before you do anything else.</p><h2 id="2-open-the-mixer-body">2. Open the mixer body</h2><p>Depending on where the food went, remove one or several panels, as shown in <a href="https://www.openfunk.co/pages/support?hcUrl=%2Fen-US%2Fhow-to-replace-the-front-and-back-panels-1124509" target="_blank" rel="noopener noreferrer">How to replace the front and back panels</a>.</p><h2 id="3-clean-it-and-let-it-dry">3.
