Blades head is leakingUpdated 14 days ago
The blades head should never leak. Here's how to find the cause and usually fix it yourself.
Why it happens
The blades head can get damaged, or its locker can come loose, if it is:
- put in the dishwasher
- washed or soaked in hot water
- used with food above 40°C
- worn after a lot of use
To find the cause, follow these steps:
1. Screw the jar in tightly
Tighten the jar in the blades head all the way, like closing a lid as tight as it goes.
2. Tighten the locker
Hold the blades head firmly, grip the locker with the unlocker and turn it clockwise until it's fully closed. The first time may take a bit of strength. If your blades head has a pin, put it back in its position, as shown in the disassembly guide.

3. Check the silicone seal
Did you open the blades head for cleaning? Check that the 4 large rings of the silicone seal face the metal plate of the blades.

Test with water first before blending food again.
4. Still leaking? Check exactly where it comes from.
Turn the blades head over and look where the water comes out:
- 1 – Between the plastic parts: the locker is probably slightly deformed. Order a new locker and change it yourself with this guide.
- 2 – From the bottom of the blades: the blades are probably worn. Order new blades and change them yourself with this guide.
- Or order a complete new blades head – it's ready to use straight away.
