Using jars safelyUpdated 6 hours ago

Using glass jars incorrectly can result in a safety hazard. Follow these instructions to ensure that the glass jars can be used safely over time.

Usage tips

  1. Do not use a damaged jar. Before every use, hold the jar up to light to spot hairline cracks, microscratches, crazing, cloudiness or damage to the glass.
  2. Do not fill jars above 70% of their volume.
  3. Retire any damaged jars, as they can potentially shatter during use.
  4. Do not press or hold the jar while mixing.

Caring tips

Avoid exposing the glass jars to thermal shocks (e.g. hot dishwashing cycles, freezing, hot foods) or hits from other objects:

  1. Use low-heat cycles if dishwashing (40 - 50 °C)
  2. Avoid hits to the jars from other jars or dishes.
  3. Avoid hits to the jars from metal utensils such as spoons.
  4. Handwashing prolongs the durability of the jars.
