How to make hummusUpdated a day ago


Mmmmh, one of our fav foods to prep with re:Mix - hummus. So easy that it's a weekly dish here in our Atelier. If you want to make an easy hummus, keep these little tips in mind:

  • If you're using dried chickpeas, soak them for at least 12h, even 24 if you have time. The more soaking, the easier the blending.
  • Use aquafaba water (chickpea water) instead of fresh water. Can be either from the can, or leftover from your boiling.
  • Add enough aquafaba and oil (see the video for a good reference). This eases the blending process and makes your hummus supercreamy.
  • Shake the head downwards so that the food falls unto the blades.

We know hummus is such an intensely debated food, so this is just our way of doing it. Feel free to experiment!
